Comments: Happy 9th birthday Leah!!!
Please know that although I pray for you and your family every day, I will add extra prayers on what I'm sure will be a tough day. Please know that Leah is being thrown a huge party by all of the other wonderful children who are with Leah. I know my son Matthew loved birthday parties, so I'm sure he is right next to Leah.
I think it's a truly wonderful thing you did at the hospital, it is a wonderful tribute to Leah's memory that you are able to make such a huge difference in the lives of so many. I pray that you are always comforted. I join you in praying a cure be found in 2009 for DIPG and all childhood cancers. As a DIPG Dad, I can't thank you enough for all you do for the DIPG community.
God Bless.

Happy New Year! Every year seems to be harder because the memories become harder to recollect, but Leah never leaves my mind. I will always love my cousin angel Leah and of course Kylie! Hope this next year goes well for you.

Comments: Hi Karen
I just wanted to stop and let you know that I have been thinking about Leah, Kylie, Phil, and you during this blessed season. I am so glad that the event at Mott went well. I am sure you and all of the volunteers made a lasting impression on those children and their families just as Leah did for so many of us, including myself. As I continue to wear my purple bracelet, I remind myself to be thankful for what I have and to pray for those who are struggling during this time. I know we have been playing phone tag but I hope we can set up something soon

Comments: Our son just spent time at the Mott's "shopping spree" sponsered by Leah's Happy Hearts. Thank you for this special gift. Our Christmas season was not expecting this stop at Motts. We've been a bit afraid and nervous even though we know that God knows what's going on with Andrew's body. The smiles from your friends and volunteers and the ability to pick out something for his family made his day. We're hoping to be home by Christmas eve - but this wonderful gift was a treat for him. Thanks to the blanket making teams and the children who lovingly made the bags. What a great group of friends Leah made! Your efforts to turn your loss into joy is so greatly appreciated. God bless you this wonderful Christmas season and I pray that you have a blessed new year. With love - The Smith Family from Dexter Michigan
