Just dropping you a line to let you know that I still pray for you three daily & keep you in my thoughts. I keep A list of people who need prayer in my pocket note book. Your family has been at the top of the list since 2004 & will remain there.

Comments: Hey- I'm Amanda from NCS in the Eighth grade, Vice President of the National Junior Honor Society. I'm excited to help out with the blanket drive for the children in Mott's hospital. It will be fun to help, and the whole eighth grade is ready and willing!
I'm keeping you and your family in my prayers, and hope that all goes well. I'm sure I don't know the pain you feel, but I know it's painful to lose something, and I want to to know that everyone here at NCS cares for you. Guess I'll see you soon! :)

Comments: Hi Karen,
I hope the blanket making for Motts went well the other evening. I sooooo wanted to be there but have been fighting the flu.
I just clicked on Leah's story for the first time....IT IS BEAUTIFUL!
The music is very powerful and all the video of Leah is breath taking.
And it shows what this beast of a disease has stolen for the universe.
And how it must be stopped.
Although I only had a short and brief time with Leah, she made such an impact on my life! So many times I think of her.
What a blessing she has been to me...and what a blessing she continues to be to so many.
You, my dear, and your entire family are a blessing too.
I hope you realize that.
YOU are making a difference.
You are an inspiration.
Leah must be smiling down on you so brightly and so PROUDLY.
Through your unending grief you have dug deep down in your soul and started this AMAZING organization, offering hope to SO MANY!
I just wanted to acknowledge you today.
For being so incredibly unselfish.
For teaching me what true grace is.
You are an amazing woman, mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and humanitarian.
You saw what this horrid disease can do, first hand.
And you put together this plan...
so that others may never have to endure what Leah endured and what your family endured.
And that my friend is true selflessness.
THANK YOU...from so many.
You are simply AMAZING.

Can't remember the last time I wrote on the guestbook but felt the need this morning. There's no way I can tell you how many times dad and I think of Leah and it's always with a mixture of sadness and joy of having had her in our lives, even for such a short time. Her pictures are all over the house and I touch her little face and smile. So many of my friends ask how you are all doing and I tell them the truth. I also tell them how proud I am of all that you're doing for other terminally ill children and their families. I'm positive that your quest to wipe out this terrible disease is what has kept you sane (besides Leah praying for you that is). She is a busy little girl in heaven praying for all those who ask! Please know that dad and I and all your siblings and their families love you and pray for you too.
