Hi Karen. I think about you, Leah, Kylie and Phil a lot! I most definitely want to help make blankets for Mott's this year. My nephew was at Mott's over the last past week and moved to the 6th floor; the same floor me and others were last year during the Leah's Happy Hearts event at Mott's. Helping children who are patients, their families, and siblings last year was one of the greatest rewards. I definitely want to help make this year a success and make blankets! Pls keep me posted. Hugs!

Comments: Hi Karen and Family,
I just wanted to sya hello and tell you that you are in my thoughts and prayers each day. My daughter saw the picture of Leah as I opened the Happy Hearts webpage and she asked who the pretty girl was. I told her a little about Leah's story and she responded with "but she was only five years old like me". It just never makes sense when a child is taken so young...all of the work you are doing through your foundation may just help to make that less of a reality for other families in the future. You can draw strength from knowing that you are making a difference.

I am a sister-in-law of your cousin Jody,P always check and read your heart warming writings. I am always praying for you and your family. Had to write you today! While driving home today from Church, was thinking how this month is a difficult one for our family also, was thinking of your beautiful Leah, how special she must of been , those angel eyes. Then I saw the most beautiful rainbow, Ive never seen one like this, I instantly thought of her and the picture she drew, it was like she was telling me everything is beautiful here. I had to pull over, and started to cry, things happen for a reason, and the instant I WAS THINKING OF YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER THIS HAPPENED!..just had to share this with you. Thanks Leah, you touched another heart today, and made us happy..God Bless. Valerie Moran

Comments: I just read about your beautiful daughter in the Michigan Cares magazine that I had picked up in my doctor's office. I was very touched with the sweetness that radiates off of Leah's face in all of her pictures.
What a wonderful program you have put into place in honor and memory of Leah. I have made note of the website and plan on helping in some fashion. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of all the children that are treated at Mott. The world is a much better place because of people like you. Thank You!!
