Comments: Hello, My name is Shraddha and I'm friends with Emily Kaley. Emily thought of this great idea- Guppies for Cancer! I am making a slideshow about Guppies for Cancer. There are 3 or 4 slides about Leah and leahshappyhearts! We are going to show it to our whole school( Novi Meadows) and Coleen Sweetland, a person who works with President Obama is also going to see my slideshow! Anyway i am sure Leah was an angel and a darling little girl. I wish I could have met her.
My prayers and wishes of luck, Shraddha J

Comments: I happened to find Leahs story as I was browsing for more info on Brain Stem Glioma(BSG).My son,Percy, was diagnosed with BSG on 9/8/2010. For us this is not Percy's first battle with cancer. He was diagnosed 5/2006 with Leukemia(AML) and underwent intensive chemotherapy. He acheived a remission and remained in remission for 5 months, then relapsed and also was diagnosed with CNS disease. Percy then underwent a Cord Blood Transplant as well as cranial and spinal radiation. He remained in remission for over 4 years, until we discovered the BSG. Percy too has always remained a happy child, no matter what the curcimstance. He never complains. If theres anyone in the world who can feel what its like to be touched by a child and the love that they give & feel while this horrible illness takes its course,it is me. Me right at this moment. Leahs story amd your ability to show the world how happy one can be and be OK with telling everyone. I used to feel no one knew what I felt. I was told"I dont know how you do it" or " I could never be that strong", but they dont know the happiness. Its Amazing! Thank You for sharing your story with me and reminding me that its ok to be happy, because our hearts are full of happy love. Angela Fernandez-Curtis
