I stumbled upon your website well doing a study on my name and couldn't turn away. I just wanted to stop and express my deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayer. Your Angel Leah is a beautiful little girl and I can't imagine how hard this has been for you. Even though I am rather late with my condolences, I know that no matter how many years go by there remains the sadness of losing someone so precious. I hope that you will find comfort and peace as you continue to move on. I look forward to meeting Leah one day ...

Angel Princess

Walking on clouds

Holding God's hand

Wearing her princess shoes

Twirling her sparkly wand

Waving to the Angels

As they fly past

Watching the world below

Till her family comes home

She dances and she sings

She runs and she plays

No more tears or pain

Only fullness of joy and sunny days

She smiles when she sees you

She can't wait for the day

When she can show you around

She'll introduce you to everyone

She'll show you her wings

So when you think of her

And tears start to fall

Remember she's waiting

On the other side of forever

In a place of unending peace and beauty

And when night is over you will be together

Again

Love & Prayers,

Leah Lopes

Hi Karen,

I was so sorry that I couldn't come to the fundraiser because we were out of town for a family event.  I am so happy that it was a huge success!! I would love to help with the christmas party for the kids!! I am glad that Leah's headstone was fixed - it is a shame that it took them so long.
I hope that you find some peace this summer.  I think that it is okay for you to feel that you were cheated because I know that would be exactly how I would feel.  Yes, you were blessed with knowing Leah as long as you did but it was not long enough.  I hope in our lifetime that we see a cure for these kids and that no family has to endure all the pain that you and so many others have gone through.
You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Julie

Hi all!, the fundraiser was so great!  I felt the love and presence of Leah all night.  She was up there in heaven and smiling proudly at her Mom, Dad and sister.  I just know it. She would be so proud of all of you.   I'm so glad I got to come and be a part of it and count me in for the Christmas party!  I'd love to help.  I continue to think about you guys and pray for each of you in the hopes that it gives you strength and peace.  Much love and peace to you all.  Take care.

I'm wearing my bracelet and thinking of Leah during this 2007 Memorial Day.

We wrote to your family in January as our Gemma was fighting a DPG.  On 12 May 2007 our beautiful Gemma also earned her angel wings after a brave fight from this ofal disease.  Like you we are now trying to put one foot in front of the other and trying to adjust to life without our angel well here on earth anyway I know she is a far better place than here.

Dear Karen, Phil and Kylie,

The fundraiser in Leah's name was a great tribute to her.  She knows of every bit of effort, work and worry that went in to the first fund raiser.  I saw so many smiles on so many faces, and people knew their little bit of effort (and money) will go to touch many other lives, if only in the smallest way.

May God help you along the way, and give you strength to bring about some good, in the smallest and largest way for Leah's life, both on earth and in heaven.

Yes, your lives are forever changed.  You still deserve love,  compassion and understanding.  You see things with much clearer eyes than others. Your sight now is so deep that many just gloss over, not with intention, but because they lack knowledge or fear knowing life too intimately.  You know we must be thankful for each and every day of life we have.

You will always be in my heart and prayers.

And by the way, Great Job!

Hi Phil, Karen and Kylie,

It goes without saying I think you are all marvelous!! You are always in my prayers and thoughts.  I don't think I could be as strong as you are.  Tom and I will see you on the 18th.  The fundraiser will be very successful.  You have worked so hard on it.  Take care,

Karen,  I'm praying for you tonight as you get ready for the big day tomorrow.  Remember to wake up and say that prayer we talked about and give it to God!  He will guide you and give you peace.  Remember it will be a great night and Leah would be so proud.  See you tomorrow morning! Laura
