I was informed of this site and of Leah by Karen's brother John. I must say that having gone through this site and watched the video of Leah more than once, I have been truly touched. Thank you for sharing Leah's Journey and the plight of children with Brain Tumors. I wish much success to you in the fund raising efforts and will have you all in my thoughts on May 18th.

It's been a while since I last visited the site. I see you guys all the time and I forget the importance of conveying my feelings. I convey my feelings best in words. I just want Phil, Karen, Kylie, and Leah to know that you are an extension of my family and I love you all. As we come together to achieve our goal we may experience some bumps here and there. Please remember that the most important ingredient we have is FAMILY. We ARE a FAMILY that cares for each other. It is what keeps me focused and positive no matter what the obstacle is. I am constantly reminded of how important our cause is. It is so much bigger now than I ever imagined it to be. Leah is counting on all of us to come together as a FAMILY and support the effort to help raise awareness about pediatric brain tumors and related life threatening illnesses that afflict our children. I firmly believe that Leah's Happy Hearts is a lifelong JOURNEY for all of us and will be around long after we earn our Angel's Wings. The DOULETTE'S will be with you through thick and thin. And I am sure if we need your support, we will get it. THAT"S WHAT FAMILY DOES!!!

I just wanted to say hello! I just read your update and wanted to say that I am sorry I won't be able to stop by the fundraiser. I will be out of the country for work. I do still think of all of you often, especially Leah.
I am happy to hear you are leaving Ford. I think that will be very good for you. It sounds like the new job will bring some new creativity to your life ( and I think that is where Leah got it from)!

I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know that I am so excited about the fundraiser on the 18th. I think the Christmas Cart at Mott's is a great idea! Our elementary school does something like that and the kids are so proud of their purchases for their family members! I would love to volunteer to go to Mott's with you to help. I am also willing to help get the cart ready! Maybe we could hook up with a major store like Target or Meijer's and get some donations! They are always looking for some good PR. Sending prayers for comfort and peace, and of course, more signs from Leah!

Thinking of you and your family.
I sooo need a vacation just to hang out at a beach would be great.
The 2nd anniversary of our son's death will be on 7/1.. it is hard to believe as the time has flown by but the pain of our loss to me is worse over time.
Nothing new on the adoption.. it is taking longer unless you adopt a waiting child.

i was just thinking of you and decided to check in. i love you all very much even though you and i have never met, and kylie is merely my acquaintance. i feel a special connection to you because my sister had lymphoma (a form of cancer) in her spine. She had it when she was 14 and she is now 21. i am grateful that she made it through,but i think it is sooooooo unfair that leah didnt. life is NOT fair.
i think of you almost every day and say a little prayer in my head. My cat was just put down, and i am positive that him, leah and erica (a friend of my sisters who recently became an angel) are playing with him at this very minute. My heart reaches out to you every day.
